Took over running this group coz my friends always say, "yes, they'll go snowboarding/ski-ing
with us" but something always came up, so...hopefully will meet some friends here who we can go on great hols with, anything from budget to the more exotic.
Please tell us something about yourself, level of ski /board etc, some backround, so that people can find out a little about you. This will help members find people they want to go on trips with.
been ski-ing and boarding for 9 years now, boarding for the last 5. Comefortable on reds, and blacks if there's lots of powder. I also run Snowcode ( snow + developers + party = snowcode ) www.meetup.com/snowcode.
Do you own, or own a share in the accommodation, or earn commission in any way for any events or accommodation you will be advertising to the group or speaking to the group about? If so, please describe.
I run snowcode and profit from that goes back into running the events. I don't earn commission in any shape or form for any events I will be promoting to the London Ski & Snowboarding group, this is just for fun and to meet people.
Please share with us your favourite websites for finding wicked ski holidays. ( will be shared with the group ) Enter 'none' or 'na' if you don't have any.
I'm an Iglu ski fan ( igluski.com ) very useful for a small group of people 2 to 4, and useless for a large group. Large groups I use personal contacts, word of mouth as well as go to trade shows to meet chalet owners directly.

It was a great opportunity to meet lots of different people with some very different ideas about ski and snowboard holidays, and have now made plans to arrange at least 1 more budget trip at the end of the season with a group of guys that I've now met and would enjoy going on a trip with.

Hi Alan, this group is a great idea and I have always found that when you introduce snow into the equation folks get to know each other very quickly. Scotland is begining to suffer a bit as well at the moment due to the extent of the temperature variations. I think the resort reports that are on the net are a bit optimistic, but all they really need is some fresh as there is a good base.
Happy to warn you as soon as it looks like being worth the trip north. -

Ya but I'm not sure if I'm going on the CS trip anymore. I found a 600pounds everything inclusive 7 day ski trip to Chamonix with ski instructor also!! That price is for new years week with www.action-outd

Hey Alan, I hope so too and that your ski trip in Les Gets turns out great, organizing is a lot of work and sometimes madening but there is a lot of advantages like choosing the master bedroom (Can't think of anything else eeeek) hehe
