Guided Off-Piste Long Weekend

Hello all,

Following on from conversations during the mid-season meetup last week I would like to organise a "guided off-piste long weekend" in a resort which offers a mixture of terrain.

The long weekend would require you are free Thur night, Fri, Sat, Sun, Mon. The potential weekend dates:

  • 28 & 29 Jan
  • 4 & 5 Feb
  • 25 & 26 Feb
  • 3 & 4 Mar
  • 10 & 11 Mar
  • 17 & 18 Mar

The trip would suit confident snowboarders/skiiers to keep the group at relatively the same level. Ideally some of you will have experience off-piste, are avalanche aware and trained to use transciever/probe/shovel.

We would try to organise some guided days, weather and conditions permitting, otherwise we would hit the resort.

Completely open to suggestions on resorts. I will be investigating booking through a TO and booking independently.

Please join the event, copy and paste the dates in to your comment, delete those you can not make and note your preferable dates. Please also let me know your resort suggestion and ability.

i can make 28 Jan or 4 Feb. As long the dates are right and we are not going to any resorts that I had been to recently, I am coming!

    Hi Laurence
    Great links, thanks for those.

Sorry i've been away for a while. Work is insanely busy.

Anyone interested in long weekend dates around Thur 8th - Mon 12th March?

Or perhaps even an entire week between 12-16th March?

I would be very interested in an off piste weekend/week before the end of the season. I am very keen, done some off piste but not very fit at the moment. Just love falling over in powder - although at this time of the year it may be porridge. x

very keen on attending but depends on price, prefer weekends of 3 and 10 March. Not hugely experienced in off-piste but this is the best way to learn!

would Love to come really depends on the date

I'm definitely interested and up for most destinations. Skied Alagna, Italy a few years ago and Zurs last season. Both had some great off-piste terrain.

Sounds good, but price will matter for me. Prefer to avoid Feb 25 and Mar 10. I'm happy anywhere with decent off piste (maybe something not on the main tourist trail). I've done quite a bit of simple off piste skiing.

I'm up for this - lots of availability at the moment. Will be interesting to see how cost works out vs a normal week. Done a season in Val d'isere, so thats an option, but keen to try somewhere less well known where powder lasts more than a day!
