This is our first virtual meetup of the season... event so that we can have somewhere to have some general chit-chat about events in London/holidays/special deals etc for those who can't make it to one of our SMOKING HOT socials!

This is where you can let everyone know who's going to hit the indoor slopes and needs company, as well as any hot tips on great holidays deals. Also if you're looking for someone to join you on a trip you're planning and can't make it to any of the socials, or ... if you just want to share the info with us, then drop a comment here and it will get a ton of attention and someone can contact you directly, or reply with another comment.

Please only RSVP to this meetup if you want to indicate that you're either looking for people to join you...or looking to join someone else's trip. (Please also indicate rough dates in the rsvp comment)

I have been checking out the Valdisere webcam every morning hoping to see fresh snow...not looking good for our trip, and for the World Cup Alpine skiing competition! http://www.valdisere.com/gb/val_d_isere/webcam/webcams.ph... Hoping to get a glimpse of some of the greats, Svindal and Cuche ;-D

Has anyone flown recently with BA and taken *adult* ski boots as hand luggage? Our boot bag is about 3 to 5cm wider than the max size for BA's hand luggage (see here http://bit.ly/tVr6og) and wont fit, not sure how strict BA are? Has anyone seen BA charge any1 for their hand luggage being a few cm too big? Cheers, A p.s. It's started snowing in Validisere, w00t!

Have you been yet? If they test it (they might not) and it doesn't fit in the basket .... quack quack oops .. and it won't fit in even the right size bag is a tight squeeze...

We did it! Managed to travel the lightest ever but had to conform to the return airlines requirements which didn't include boots in the cabin. But managed to fit the boots in the luggage bag in hold.
The Norse God was extremely kind and did bring us 100 cm of snow - actually maybe more - more snow than I have ever seen. An awesome early ski holiday!!
